Kidepo Valley National Park is well known for its unique composition of wildlife that coexist within the dry mountain forests, rock kopjes capped hilltops and the huge open savannah. The park hosts approximately 500 variety of birds and over 70 mammal species. You will have an opportunity to visit the Karamoja region, witness the Karamajong people, and learn about their culture.

Day 1 Travel from Kampala to Kidepo, with a lunch break in Kitgum
Wake Up Early Morning, Take Breakfast and at 07.00 AM your safari guide Driver will meet you at your Hotel and Drive you to Gulu. we will stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to 19 white rhinos, as well as 20 other species of wildlife. After Rhino trekking you will take a short drive to Amuka Safari Lodge (also within the sanctuary) where you will break for lunch before heading on towards Gulu. Arive late in the afternoon, Dinner and Overnight

Day 2 Drive for Gulu to Kidepo National park, Evening Game safari
Drive to Kidepo valley national Park. Sometimes referred to as the true African wilderness, this park is one of the remotest and virgin tourism destinations in Uganda blessed with abundance of wildlife, beautiful scenery and rich local cultures of the surrounding Karamojong communities. Kidepo valley Nationa park hosts a profusion of big game, with over 80 species of mammal, including lion, leopard, elephant, giraffe, zebra and various antelope species. A staggering 28 species of mammal found in Kidepo Valley National park cannot be found in any other national park in Uganda: cheetah, striped hyena, aardwolf, caracal and kudu to name but a few. With a total of more than 475 different bird species, Kidepo is also considered outstanding for birds of prey and 58 different species have been recorded here. go for an Evening game, Back to your lodge, dinner and Overnight.

Day 3. Gor For Another Safari in Kidepo National park
Wake Up Early Morning Take Your Breakfast at 05.30 and at 06.00 exactly you will enter Kidepo Valley NP. This park is known for its wide variety of animals, in fact it has the highest variety of big mammals in Uganda. There are huge herds of buffalo up to 3000 a herd! But it is not only the animals, the scenery alone is breathtaking, after the first game drive you will have lunch at the lodge. You will return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation. Later in the evening, you will have a sunset game drive in the park then return for dinner and an overnight stay at Apoka Safari Lodge.

Day 4 Morning game drives and afternoon community walks
After breakfast, Go for a community walk to the local Karamojong communities who live around the park. These communities have got unique cultures and ways of life that will give you an experience with the true African cultures. The main livelihood activity of the Karamojong is herding livestock, which has social and cultural importance. Crop cultivation is a secondary activity, undertaken only in areas where it is practicable. Due to the arid climate of the region, the Karamojong have always practiced a sort of pastoral transhumance, where for 3–4 months in a year, they move their livestock to the neighboring districts in search of water and pasture for their animals. The availability of food and water is always a concern and affects the Karamojong’s interaction with other ethnic groups. After Lunch Drive To Gulu

Day 5 Drive Back to Kampala
